ANTENNE IN QUARANTENA DUE

Il lockdown si è allentato, non per me. Sono diversamente giovane e debbo proteggermi. Pertanto continua la mia quarantena, tra antenne e CW. L'ultima mia uscita per i campi da golf è stata due mesi fa. Resto in attesa della riapertura dei campi, ma anche se dovesse succedere presto, aspetterò ancora una quindicina di giorni dall'apertura per vedere l'andazzo. Tutto ciò è servito per riavvicinarmi alla mia passione  più vecchia, anche se non l'avevo mai abbandonata. Per la quarantena mi sono dato una routine giornaliera, per non ammattire. Il pomeriggio lo passo in garage a trafficare con la radio con quel poco di cose che posso utilizzare. La legge di Murphy ha colpito ancora e guarda caso la end-fed non funzionava più. Ieri ho avuto l'ispirazione e mi sono messo a verificare cosa poteva essere successo. Il primo problema era aprire il balun 1:49, sigillato.  Guardando bene ho notato che il coperchio dove c'è scritto il tipo di antenna è incollato. Munito del mio Opinel, che serve a tagliare anche i toscani (compreso il sottoscritto), con la massima prudenza ho cominciato a fare un solco alla copertura. Con la punta del coltellino faccio leva battendola dove avevo creato il solco e dopo una buona mezzora e senza tagliarmi, riesco a sollevare il coperchio. Ecco il balun aperto:

I look forward to the reopening of the fields, but even if it happens soon, I will wait another fifteen days from the opening to see the trend. All this served to bring me closer to my oldest passion, even if I had never abandoned. For the quarantine I gave myself a daily routine, not to go crazy. In the afternoon I spend some time in the garage playng with my radios. Murphy's law struck still and incidentally the end-fed was no longer working. Yesterday I had the inspiration and I started to check what could have happened. The first problem was to open the 1:49 balun, it was sealed. Looking carefully I noticed that the cover where the type of antenna is written was glued. Equipped with my Opinel (french knife), which also serves to cut the Tuscans Cigars (including myself, i am from Tuscany), with caution I began to make a groove to cover. With the tip of the knife, I levered it by beating it where I had created the groove and after a good half hour and without cutting myself, I managed to lift the cover. Here is the open balun:

Il filo di rame che dal toroide va al centrale si era staccato e l'antenna non funzionava più. L'ultima volta che avevo smontato l'antenna il balun dalla bascula del garage era finito a terra con un bel tonfo e probabilmente aveva subito un guasto meccanico. Quando la volta successiva ho tirato su l'antenna, sbagliando la potenza in uscita del trasmettitore, il calore della potenza ha finito l'opera. Ho fatto un ingrandimento del filo di rame:

Non mi pare che ci siano bruciature, anche perché senza antenna dal trasmettitore non esce niente, in quanto va in protezione. Risaldato il tutto, ho messo colla a caldo per bloccare il toroide e rincollato la copertura. Così ho potuto continuare le mie prove. Ecco alcuni collegamenti dell'ultimo mese:

Con la verticale di Pasquale I2IRH ho provato ad aggiungere dei radiali, ma purtroppo non danno esito positivo. Ho vari ostacoli attorno a cominciare dal caseggiato che è a quattro metri di distanza dall'antenna. Come avrete potuto vedere dall'articolo precedente la tengo appoggiate ad un treppiede di un ventilatore. La basa dell'antenna è a livello del terreno e probabilmente è questo che le fa da terra, altrimenti non si spiega il suo buon funzionamento. Certo il classico dipolo sarebbe l'ideale, purtroppo ognuno fa con quello che ha a disposizione. Ricordo in puglia, avevo smontato tutte le antenne e per ingannare il tempo per fare ascolto avevo collegato il centrale del ricetrasmettitore ai fili in ferro che servivano da stendi panni.

C'è sempre un monegasco che trasmette da quella zona, arrivava che era una meraviglia, oltre il nove di segnale. Mi feci coraggio e provai a trasmettere, effettuai il collegamento. Tenete presente che la mia postazione radio si trovava in una terrazza (nella foto sopra) ad un primo piano e circondato da palazzi. Se c'è propagazione si può provare anche con la rete del letto. Tornando alle due antenne che sto usando, i dieci watt con quel tipo di antenna sono effettivamente pochi. Quindi i migliori collegamenti li faccio con la verticale da tre metri e mezzo e cento watt. A Firenze avevo sul tetto i classici dipoli. Avevo un Kenwood TS820 che mi ha consentito un sacco di collegamenti. Era intorno al 1990 e la propagazione era molto buona. Collegavo stazioni anche con segnale zero, se le sentivo, il collegamento era assicurato.

I also connected stations with zero signal, if I heard them, the connection was assured.

Tornando al lockdown, ora che ricominciano le attività e le fabbriche, forse il rumore tornerà. Per adesso su tutte le bande non ho nessun disturbo, sarà il lockdown o forse l'antenna è sorda? Difficile pensarlo di una verticale, caricata tra l'altro. Fatto sta che chiedo sempre il rapporto veritiero e spesso ho un segnale maggiore di quello che ricevo.  Anche oggi ho collegato un polacco, stazione speciale, che arrivava con un segnale di cinque in quaranta metri e mi ha dato un rapporto di cinque nove reale (smeter compiacente, per me). Bisogna avere la fortuna di arrivare per primi, il collegamento è assicurato. L'ho sperimentato anche con una cubica in venti metri, ricordo alcuni anni fa, mi consentì di collegare mezza Asia, spazzolando qua e la. Piero I2RTF mi dice sempre che ho fortuna (ho tradotto la parola, lui dice ne dice un'altra), forse la fortuna bisogna anche cercarla.

Going back to the lockdown, for now on all bands I have no noise. Now the activities and factories are starting work again, maybe the noise will return.  Will be the lockdown or maybe the antenna is deaf? Difficult to think of a vertical, loaded with a coil. I always ask for the truthful signal and often I have a greater signal than I receive. Also today I connected a Polish special station, which arrived with a signal of five in forty meters and gave me a real five nine ratio (compliant smeter, for me). You must be lucky enough to arrive first, the connection is assured. I also experimented with a cubic in twenty meters, I remember a few years ago, allowed me to connect half Asia, brushing here and there. Piero I2RTF always tells me that I am lucky (I have translated the word, he use another one), maybe you should also seek luck.

Per chi legge e non vuol vedere il video, in dieci metri non c'è bisogno di nessun accordatore, non vi è il minimo rientro di radiofrequenza.

L'antenna è progettata per lavorare attorno a 7023, a 7129 con l'accordatore MFJ949D si elimina anche quel SWR 1:1,5 di rientro.

A 7020 l'antenna lavora senza accordatore con un SWR di 1:1,2, per questo Pasquale I2IRH dice che nono è venuta bene. Tutte le prove con potenza di 100 watts.
